The Hoebridge is a family-run restaurant in the Scottish Borders opened in 2015. Our focus is on creating a small seasonal menu that changes each month, enabling us to serve our customers the freshest local produce available. We pride ourselves on making everything we can by hand: from breads, pastries and ice creams to pastas, pickles and preserves. What we don't make ourselves we source from some of the best producers in Scotland – Shaw's and Hardiesmill for our local meats, fish from D.R. Collins of Eyemouth and Teviot Smokery, I.J. Mellis cheese, Cuddybridge Apple Juice, Steampunk Coffee and beer from Tempest Brewery. We are proud to have been nominated for Most Stylish Restaurant at the Moet & Chandon Scottish Style Awards 2015, Best New Restaurant at the 2015 Born in the Borders Awards, and Best Restaurant Experience at the Scottish Thistle Awards.
We are open for dinner Wednesday through Saturday. Be the first to know about news and special events by joining our mailing list below. We look forward to seeing you at the restaurant.
Join us at the bar to enjoy our selection of cocktails – the Espresso Martini and the Mojito are two house favourites. We offer over ten different wines by the glass, a range of local beers from award-winning Tempest Brewery, and dozens of single malt whiskies and artisan-crafted gins from across Scotland and beyond. The bar is open to all, whether you are joining us for a pre-dinner drink or just want to stop by for a cocktail.
The Hoebridge is a great location for special events and private parties. Our conservatory is perfect for those looking for a more intimate dining experience. The room is self-contained, perfect for quiet dinners away from the buzz of the main dining room or for groups who want to let their hair down and celebrate a special occasion. The entire restaurant is also available for private parties, both during and outside of normal business hours.
Our garden area sits to the west side of the building adjacent the main dining room. It's the perfect place to catch some sun and spend cocktail hour on an evening when the weather is right. The garden is equally welcome for guests who are wishing to step out for a drink before dinner, and for those looking to stop by for drinks in the fresh air.
